Gnosis Olympus Edition
Gnosis Olympus Edition
Gnosis BCPJT is the flagship STEM event of Beaconhouse College Programme Johar Town, Lahore. The 2024 edition, Olympus, aimed to re-establish the event’s reputation after a poorly received previous year. Our design team’s goal was to create a fresh identity that highlighted science, innovation, and the energy of a new generation, while making the event stand out visually across all mediums.

Context & Challenge
The previous edition of Gnosis had left the event with a weak reputation. Our challenge was twofold:
Rebrand Gnosis into something exciting, modern, and credible.
Deliver quickly, since much of the design work had to be created in a very tight timeframe.
We wanted every visual element — from the logo to posters to merch — to reflect STEM values (atoms, discovery, knowledge) while being bold and attractive to students.

Symbol of Six
Inspired by the structure of an atom, the logo featured six orbiting electrons to symbolize the six STEM categories.

How it came by?
The concept was born in a late-night Google Meet between Zaid and me, and then collaboratively developed by the team.
Palette of Innovation
The Gnosis Olympus Edition palette was designed to merge scientific rigor with youthful creativity. Khaki provided an earthy foundation symbolizing stability, while Old Lace added warmth and approachability. Payne’s Gray introduced depth and seriousness, anchoring the STEM identity, and White balanced the set with clarity and space. Together, these tones reflected a new generation of students—curious, innovative, and ready to redefine science with fresh ideas.

Typography of Legacy & Innovation
The typography combined classical authority with modern clarity. Cinzel Decorative was chosen to embody the grandeur of Olympus—a nod to history, science, and timeless knowledge. Its sharp, sculpted forms created a sense of prestige. Complementing it, Intro delivered a clean, contemporary voice that resonated with students, ensuring readability across digital and print platforms. Together, the fonts balanced heritage and modernity, symbolizing how STEM bridges ancient curiosity with future innovation.
